How subscribers opt in
- A business purchases a LeadService website subscription at www.leadservice.app, then optionally adds the SMS lead-alert add-on.
- The subscriber signs in to their private LeadService portal and opens Settings → Text message alerts. This section appears only for subscribers who purchased the add-on.
- They enter the mobile number they want alerts sent to, and tick a consent checkbox that is unchecked by default. Consent is never a condition of purchase, and is never bundled into accepting the terms of service.
- On saving, LeadService records the date, time, IP address, and the exact disclosure text shown, and sends a one-time confirmation SMS.
The consent form subscribers see
Reproduced exactly as it appears in the subscriber portal. The consent wording below is rendered from the same source string the live checkbox uses and that we store as each subscriber’s consent record, so it cannot differ from what subscribers agree to. The controls here are inert.
Text message alerts
Get a text the moment a new lead comes in, so you can call them back first.
Heads up: the first text often lands in your phone's filtered, junk, or spam messages, because the number is new to you. Check there if you don't see it. Save the number to your contacts and every alert after that comes straight through.
Resuming after opting out
A subscriber who has replied STOP can resume alerts by replying START, UNSTOP, or YES, and receives this confirmation:
“LeadService: You are opted in to recurring new-lead text alerts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.”
This only resumes an existing subscription. A phone number that never completed the web opt-in above cannot be enrolled by texting a keyword.
